EMU Football Game Day Guide

Welcome to Game Day inside the Factory at Rynearson Stadium!

Each season Eastern Football strives to be as fan centric as possible, constantly making improvements to the Factory in order to improve the experience for everyone. This page is designed as a one stop resource for you to use as you plan your game day experience. We hope that you enjoy your trip to Ypsilanti and Eastern Michigan University.

Game Day Basics

Eagle Walk

Join your fellow fans, the Pride of the Peninsula band, and EMU Spirit and Dance as we greet our EMU Football team as they arrive on game day. Eagle Walk takes place outside Gate 2 of Rynearson Stadium two hours and fifteen minutes before kick off and is FREE to attend.

Stadium Security

Eastern Michigan University and EMU Athletics make the safety and comfort of fans our top priority. This season fans will notice increased security around all ticketed athletic events, this includes a Clear Bag Policy as well as metal detectors at all fan entrances. These are purely preventative measures, but because they may cause slight delays moving around the area, fans might want to arrive a little earlier than they did last year. We ask for your patience and are confident that you will love your game day experience. Clear Bag Policy

New for the 2023-24 academic year, fans may bring in one clear bag no larger than 12 inches x 6 inches x 12 inches or a one-gallon plastic storage bag. Fans are limited to one clear bag per person, or a small clutch bag (no larger than 4.5 inches x 6.5 inches) for privacy. This policy is in line with similar security measures at Ford Field, Comerica Park, Little Caesars Arena, and other NCAA / NFL stadiums around the country.

Tickets

The Eastern Michigan Athletics Ticket Office will open three (3) hours prior to game day. Will Call and Player Guest tickets are available for pick up inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center Atrium beginning ninety (90) minutes prior to kick off.

In an effort to provide the best fan experience possible, Eastern Michigan Athletics is proud to provide the answers below for the most commonly asked questions related to game day in Ypsilanti.

For your convenience there is an ATM located in the atrium of the George Gervin GameAbove Center.

To provide a safer environment for the public and significantly expedite fan entry into our venues, Eastern Michigan University has implemented a policy that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into our venues.

While EMU strongly encourages fans not to bring any bags into our venues, fans will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package, or container into our venues:

Exceptions to this policy will be made for all medically necessary items after proper inspection.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: coolers (unless medically necessary), briefcases, non-clear backpacks, non-clear fanny packs, diaper bags (unless medically necessary), non-clear cinch bags, non-approved seat cushions (unless medically necessary), luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera or binocular bags or any non-clear bag larger than the permissible size (4.5" x 6.5")

EMU provides complimentary shuttle service to and from the Rynearson and George Gervin GameAbove Center parking lots. These shuttles run from an hour prior to the game until 45 minutes after the game. Pick up / Drop off points are the Gate # 1 & Gate # 2, the Donor Parking Lot, the VIP Parking Park, and Rynearson Lots 1 – 7 across the street from the Stadium.

A first aid station is located next to Gate 3 inside Rynearson Stadium. If you need immediate assistance, please find an EMU representative wearing a yellow vest at any point throughout the stadium.

In the event of inclement weather please leave the seating areas and take shelter under the east and west grandstands of Rynearson Stadium. The public address system will be utilized for all announcements in an attempt to keep fans updated on weather conditions.

Infant changing stations are located inside the restrooms on the west side of Rynearson Stadium.

The Junior Eagles Kids Club is the official kids club for the Eastern Michigan Athletic Department. Open to all fans ages 13 and younger, new memberships begin at the low price of $35 for the first child and $20 for each additional kid. For all current EMU faculty, staff, and students registering their child, Kids Club Memberships start at $25. Eastern Athletics remains committed to providing flexible ticketing options. In the event that an EMU athletic event were to be cancelled and you have already made a payment you will be eligible for a refund up to the cost of the event ticket. Fees, service charges, and ticketed events that were not cancelled are not refundable.Valid only for the event and seat for which it is issued.You agree by use of this ticket not to transmit or aid in transmitting any description, account, picture or reproduction of the game or event to which this ticket is issued to utilize the holder’s image or likeness in connection with any video or other transmission of the event for which this ticket relates. Event date and time subject to change.You are admitted on the consideration and by your use of this ticket you consent to a reasonable search for alcohol, drugs or any weapons. Eastern Michigan University reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person whose conduct is deemed by management to be disorderly or malicious or who fails to comply with the rules and regulations of Eastern Michigan University. Any violation of these conditions revokes the license granted herein and may subject you to eviction without the refund of any portion of the ticket purchase price. You assume all risk and danger incidental to the game, exhibition or performance.

Football Ticket Office Information:

For your convenience, two (2) ticket office locations are open on game day to purchase tickets in person. Both locations are open four (4) hours prior to kickoff and close after halftime.
